Many are still coping after a microburst hit Orchard Hills today at around 10 am, a microburst is when a large portion of rain and wind comes down at fast speeds. Several areas recorded "massive raindrops and large hail" as well as sustained lightning. This comes after several days of thunderstorms strike Irvine, another symptom of both climate change and the fall storm season. The President today urges all citizens to "stay safe and stay dry". Warning that in the event of nearby thunderstorms, seek safety and cover.
